Shetland has been a versatile workhorse for Harrisville customers for years. This yarn is not made from Shetland Wool - rather, the name 'Shetland' refers to the size of the yarn and not the fiber content. The wool is a blend of an Australian fine wool and a hearty New Zealand wool that gives the yarn its luster.

Woolen spun yet tightly plied, Shetland is lofty and sturdy, a classic yarn for knitting, crocheting, and weaving alike. Available in a saturated palette of 64 tweedy, heathered colors, Shetland shines in colorwork, cables, lace, texture patterns, and simple stockinette.
