Color disclaimer:

We make a great effort to ensure that the images on our site reflect the colors of our products accurately. However, different screens and monitors may show those colors differently, so we can't guarantee that colors in photos will look the same in person. 

We recommend buying all necessary skeins for a project at once, since dye lots can differ. 

It is common for hand-dyed yarns to vary even within the same dye lot, making each skein unique. The colors used will always be the same, but dispersion can differ. To avoid unwanted color pooling, try alternating skeins every 1-2 rows.

 

Do you accept returns? 

We are happy to exchange yarn for store credit, so long as it meets the following criteria:

  • was not purchased at a discount
  • was not wound or used
  • has been kept in a clean and odor free environment

There are no exchanges or returns on books, patterns or discounted items.

We’ll issue a store credit for the price of the item plus any taxes paid on it, but will not refund or credit shipping fees.

Contact us to start the process, being sure to include your order number and the specific items you wish to exchange for store credit.

 

Will my yarn have matching dye lots?

When you buy multiple skeins in the same color, we will check to be sure they all have the same dye lot before we ship your order. If we don't have enough skeins in a single dye lot to complete your order, we will contact you to inform you, and provide our best opinion to allow you to make a decision. 

 

Can you wind my yarn?

At this time, we are not offering winding for online orders. 

 

Can I use my physical gift card to make an online purchase?

No. Physical gift cards received before the launch of our online store are applicable in-store only. We are sorry for the inconvenience, and ask that you bear with us as we make this transition to online selling!

 

Can I use my HYS Frequent Buyer card for online purchases? 

No, as we do not have a digital system for these physical cards, we will continue to honor our policy in-store only. We will add dots to your card when you make a purchase online, but you'll have to come into the shop to spend your $20 discount when the Frequent Buyer card fills. We appreciate your business greatly, and this is our way of saying thank you to our loyal customers who come in to the shop.
