Cricket
A traditional sign of good luck, a cricket is a symbol of abundance and vitality, and their cheerful song is a harbinger of good things to come. - Kelbourne Woolens
Cricket is a single-ply authentic Donegal tweed yarn, spun at the same mill as its' Aran-wight sister, Lucky Tweed in Donegal, Ireland.

Irish Tweed
Isager Tweed is a single-ply blend of 70% wool and 30% mohair, lending the yarn a slightly homespun look and remarkable softness.
The depth of color is the cherry on top - some look like solids while others contain a lively mix of colorful tweedy flecks.

Arranmore Light
This DK-weight tweedy yarn is woolen spun and has a generous 328 yards per 100 gram skein. The luxurious combination of merino wool, silk, and cashmere make it one of the softest yarns in our Irish round-up. Though soft, it also wears extremely well from our experience. It’s a great yarn for next-to-skin garments.

Sophie Scarf
by PetiteKnit
This is a great pattern for a soft yarn like Arranmore Light, but that’s down to the Sophie Scarf being so versatile - knit at a DK weight, it would also be fabulous using Isager Tweed or Cricket with a silk mohair. A perfect one-skein project that we’ve all knit and loved.

Lucky Tweed
We love this versatile, tweedy merino at HYS. Here’s what Kelbourne Woolens says about it:
"Kelbourne Woolens Lucky Tweed is a classic authentic Donegal Tweed yarn made in Donegal, Ireland. We worked closely with the mill to produce an aran weight yarn with an authentic look and soft hand. The depth of color is astounding, and we love this yarn for garments and accessories."

Shamrock Cowl
by Courtney Kelley
An apt choice for this pattern round-up, the Shamrock Cowl is a squishy garter and cable cowl designed using Lucky Tweed. It is heavily textured and reversible, and looks like a good project for those wanting to learn chart reading.

Erin
Kelbourne Woolens Erin is an authentic bulky weight Irish heather made in Donegal, Ireland. Erin is a hearty blend of 60% fine Irish wool and 40% New Zealand wool put up in a 100 gram, 158 yard (145 meter) hank.
This exceptional yarn captures the essence of Ireland’s rich knitting heritage and is available in 14 classic colors reflecting the beauty of the Irish countryside. This is the yarn for making your grandpa’s favorite cardigan, a hearty pair of mittens, or a rugged pullover to wear in lieu of a jacket.
